Today is a historic day for Corruption. The UPA government today passed an ordinance refuting the Supreme Court judgement that would trigger the dismissal from both the houses of the parliament for those members who have been chargesheeted in any form of criminal activities.
This major step has paved way for a long standing dream of many a politician in our country - the day when corruption would be fair and free and legal in India. This dream is slowly but surely taking shape!!
Let us see what happened on this momentous day in the parliament!!!

Manish Tewari - Madam speaker, on behalf of the Ruling UPA party, I take this opportunity to present or request to pass an Ordinance overruling the recent Supreme Court Order to cancel the memberships of those who are facing charges of criminal or corruption ones. Our Government has always striven to protect and safeguard the interest of the basic fabric of our democracy and even today via this ordinance, we are just trying to protect our inherent and cultural trait mark - corruption. Revoking of memberships has nothing to do with a person's intent or nature or habits. Two unrelated matters. Just like a working microphone and our Honorable Prime Minister have nothing in common.

Sushma Swaraj - Yeh sarkaar aswasth hai, beemar hai. Yeh nahin jaanti ki is ordinance ke bahaane yeh apne brasht netaaon ko bachaane ki koshish kar rahi hai. Main is ordinance ka samarthan kabhi nahin karoongi. Supreme Court mein maine kaam kiya hai kisi zamane mein, uska aadesh ke vipreet nahin jaaoongi main.

Sharad Pawar - Speaker madam, I request that we pass the ordinance after the lunch hour.
Meira Kumar - But Sharad ji ...why are you trying to delay this?
Sharad Pawar - Because we don't have the requisite majority. There are still some MPs who are toying the party diktats. I need to get them agreed.
Meira Kumar - How do you propose to do this?
Sharad Pawar - Simple, I shall take them out for a grand gala lunch at Sher e Babbar restaurant, bribe them up to their throats.
Meira Kumar - Wow Sharad ji!!! You should be the first one to cast the vote on the ordinance!!!
And so, Indian Parliament became the first one in the world to keep tainted and tarnished ministers charged with criminal or corruption cases in the parliament house!!!!
