Those who have lived in Mumbai for even a significant time in their lives would remember the ubiquitous daily TV show - Aapan Yaanna Paahilaat ka? Have you seen them? A TV show about missing people in a world when communication technology was in it s nascent stage and missing people were quite a common occurrence.
This brings me back to the topic at hand - the parliament is stalled for the want of information regarding the missing Coal Mine allocation files. BJP has refused to let the house function. Nowhere in the world do people in the country call their PM a Chor. I am not the custodian of any files - Manmohan Singh spewed venom in the Parliament.
Now, if we go about making a list of all things that are missing, these files would appear to be insignificant in context.
- Firstly, Manmohan Singh has found his long missing voice. Perhaps the last time that it was used was during P.V. Narasimha Rao's tenure.
- Thousands of crores are missing from the Common Wealth Games managed by Suresh Kalmadi. Suresh Kalmadi himself is missing from any action. All the world class infrastructure created for CWG is missing from New Delhi.
- Onions are missing from the markets, Sharad Pawar has categorically said that he has nothing to do in this mess.
- BJP is missing from the parliament. SRK and Rohit Shetty have ruled out any link to the Chennai Express performing well in Delhi theaters.
- Meera Kumar's famous headsets are missing but what the heck!!! She does not have hear any crap nowadays anyways and there is nobody in the parliament to whom she can chide - Baith Jaaiye.
- Lalit Modi is missing since a warrant was issued against his name. The architect of Indian Premier League is not to be found, even the UK authorities have ruled out his presence in London.
- Sharad Pawar's wallet is missing. The US Federal Reserve's chief Ben Bernanke has categorically ruled out that the missing wallet and the next round of Quantitative Easing have any linkage.
- Dusty hinterland streets and less trodden paths are missing Rahul Baba. It has been quite some time now that Rahul Gandhi has gone on his marathon walks and the people in UP are missing him.
- Governance has gone missing in the current Government.
- Finally, GOD has gone missing from our country. It was said once upon a time - if you want to believe in GOD, visit India. It is a proof that GOD does exist. Unfortunately, even that does not seem to hold true!!!
