The suffering continues and so does the Struggle!!!

The suffering continues; and so does the struggle;

A maimed disfigure rises from the dead rubble;

A sculpture- it definitely is not one; for sure!!

Perhaps a reality that thousands have to endure?

28 years to this day, the horrific night unfolded;

Unknown to the denizens of Bhopal: gaseous venom spewed in silence;

As the darks progressed; so did the scale of devastation;

Leaving in it s wake: scores of innocent dead;

the tragic night still haunts us;

fumes of poison that sneaked in the night,

till this day holds all to a fright;

lives lost for no fault of theirs, children maimed for the rest of their lives,

the high and the mighty escaped in the nick of time,

paying off for this colossal damage, all but dimes;

thousands dead and many still living death but Carbide did not cow,

au contraire, Olympics were allowed in spite of being sponsored by Dow!!!!!

That lives lost cannot be undone- a fact known;

But for corporate negligence done – who should own?

Events such as these are a stark reminder to one and all;

When disasters strike, it is the common innocents who take the fall;
