beSAHARA SRI - jungle mein bungle!!!!

Finally the epic dialogue mouthed by many a police inspector to the villains of yore has come true. Kanoon ke haath lambe hote hain. The long arm of the law finally caught up with one of the most secretive business men and the humble owner worker of Sahara India Parivar. Sahara Sri Subrata Roy was arrested by the UP police for evading court summons and not paying up the remainder INR 20,000 crore from the chit fund started way back in 2000.

What appeared to be a taut cat-and-mouse chase, ended up rather tamely with Subrata Roy surrendering” before the Supreme Court from the precincts of his palatial house in Lucknow. There were a lot of speculation around his location. ? The Sahara Sri was supposedly at home while all this was going on. He surrendered the next day even as his high profile lawyers like Ram Jethmalani and Ravi Shankar Prasad were trying their level best to get a bail.

As a cavalcade of cars came to pick up Sahara Sri, media was agog with questions about whether he would be sent to jail or not. The UP Government went into a full swing. There could be no compromise. All jails were speedily renovated. Some of the more populous ones were cleared off. Many lucky few managed to get bails and releases. Yes, some of them were dreaded criminals but who cares. A bigger fish was about to enter the pond.

In the court, Sahara Sri arrived in a luxury SUV with around 3 police jeeps and 15 Sahara cars. Repeated appeal attempts by his lawyers did little to change the judges’ mind. Even the consideration of the health of his mother who is 92 years did not move the panel. This emotional plea was also supported by a certificate from Sahara Hospital making a medico-emotional pitch that Sahara Sri be exempted from personal appearances.

So, against all odds, Subrata Roy was arrested. The obvious impact of his arrest would be felt in the coming days. Immediately the next day, India lose a thriller against Pakistan. The Lucknow court instructed the police to keep Sahara Sri at a location as per its jurisprudence. The UP Police decided to keep Subrata Roy in a Forest Department Guest House on the outskirts of Lucknow city. Thus Sahara Sri was taken away in “police custody” to the Kukrail Reserve Forest Guest House. From there, he would be presented in Supreme Court when the date would be announced by the Honourable Supreme Court.

The image here shows the flurry of activities happening at the forest reserve.
The entire reserve forest was cordoned off by Sahara Security. Gardens were mowed up, an artificial fountain set up, Sahara Sri’s favourite chef was brought in, to relax his frayed nerves – Sahara Entertainment arranged for a Bollywood evening with a galaxy of stars descending at the Kukrail reserves for a song and dance act.

The UP CM and other political bigwigs dropped by all through the evening, soaking themselves into the entertainment, a wide range of spirits and a gastronomic spread of Lucknowi cuisine. A Government doctor was summoned to issue a certificate that Sahara Sri needed to spend some more time in nature to soothe his worries. "Just met my big brother Subrata at his rest house, he is recovering well. Such humility and grace even in strife. God Bless", tweeted Big B.

A make shift office soon came up in the premises so that pressing office matters could be looked into. In the meanwhile, the star lawyer for Sahara – Mr. Ram Jethmalani has filed a petition request to have a supreme court hearing at the forest reserves itself. All logistical and infrastructure arrangements needed towards that will borne by Sahara.

As a plan towards providing employment for the rural populace around Kukrail, Sahara Development also secures permissions to build "humble abodes for simple Indians".

In a couple of weeks, Sahara puts up full page ads across all newspapers.

Sahara Sri Subrata Roy welcomes one and all to the inauguration of the Kukrail Kondos - a luxury location where your indulgences will match our offerings.
