The recent Delhi elections' results have surprised many. While it was a no brainer to predict Congress' rout, not many took Arvind Kejriwal seriously enough. The new age Political Party without political leanings was not taken seriously. Aam Aadmi Party has emerged a close second to BJP and the Congress managed a single digit score with Sheila Dikshit herself losing to Arvind Kejriwal by a record margin.
All is well, one would hope with the electorate giving it's mandate and BJP coming to power with a responsible and corruption-free AAP sitting in the opposition. But can elections ever be so straightforward?
BJP has come up with a googly. It has requested AAP to come and form the next Government. AAP is skirting the matter stating that the party with majority seats should stake the claim. Sheila Dikshit is mulling over and cursing these Bewakoof log.
President's Rule and re-election is perhaps not an option economically and politically; prone to rampant horse tradings and manipulations.
The following are the reasons cited by each of these parties' reluctance:-
BJP
- If we form a Government, Advaniji will again start cribbing about becoming the Delhi CM. We value his blog more than coming to power.
- BJP does not handle ICU state patients. Delhi is beyond repair. We don't want to be pall- bearers.
- The constitution does not allow Modi to become both - Delhi CM and India PM.
- If we form a Government, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari et al will start squabbling for the top post.
- Arvind will make our lives hell!!!
AAP
- I am thinking on future course of action. I want Lokpal bill.
- Anna is going on another fast. I will form another party. This time in South called SAAP. Sorry, We.
- I have more important things than being a dummy CM - need to plan the design and manufacturing of MAIN ARVIND HOON caps, hats, pens, etc. Err... Sorry, I meant the party.
- I have always believed in disruptions. I have disrupted the biggest course of event in recent times - the elections. I have no intentions of running the Government. Err... sorry once again, I meant we.
- Gotta go to another studio for an interview... will think of the last reason later....bloody hell... this time I meant ME!!!
The stalemate continues. AAP is busy in Anna's fast and creation of SAAP. BJP has no time to spare from Modi's rallies and campaigns. A solution needs to be thought of. And soon.
The following events occur in quick succession leaving the entire nation breathless catching up with the updates.
- BJP and AAP and Congress meet up to finalize a candidate to be the CM of Delhi.
- The candidate should be acceptable to all 3 parties
- The candidate should not end up being a spoiler and should maintain the status quo of New Delhi.
- Preferably, a candidate whom all the 3 parties want to be busy doing nothing.
Here is who will be the new CM of New Delhi. A person who, if made the CM will eliminate tensions and troubles to the Congress, will not interfere in AAP's growth story and will not criticize Arvind Kejriwal, BJP just does not care about this anymore so anything is fine.
